Video playing on a Nokia N810
I accidentally deleted an entire folder of videos from my Nokia N810. To make matters worse, there is no “undo” and no recycle bin. So how did I recover the erased folder?
I downloaded Photorec for Windows, a free utility. It worked like a champ!

It found over a hundred deleted files from the flash card and saved them to my hard drive on my Vista machine. I am now copying those files back over to the flash card so I can watch the videos on my N810.
My only complaint is that the filenames are not preserved, so I don’t know which file is which.
Filenames look like rubbish and are not the original filenames.
But, this program is free, and it was my fault for accidentally deleting the folder, so I am still impressed and happy with PhotoRec. If you want to recover deleted files from an SD card, I recommend PhotoRec.
