Many people online are taking up the role of “teacher”. Can you trust them?
This man knows the bible like the back of his hand.
At first, I was really impressed by this man on YouTube and a couple of his networked friends. But when I started asking questions, I got the boot. Lesson learned: beware of the wolves in sheep’s clothing. After I quoted the bible under his video, he deleted it, and then blocked me.
I was blocked. Why?
Here is part of a comment exchange I had with him that he did not yet delete:
I got blocked from him when I quoted scripture. He gives me the impression that he wants people to think it is extremely difficult to get into Heaven. So, I told him the good news, but he did not want it. He deleted some of my comments and then blocked me.
From Romans 10, showing how to be saved:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
The Lord is merciful. Amen.
I learned that we should be skeptical of everyone that claims to be a teacher of God.
One of the other guys tag-teamed me in the comments section.
"Get out"? Is that the Holy Spirit talking?
Ironically, the comment above was from a man I had privately messaged a couple days earlier asking him if he was doing OK and if he was able to pay his bills. I thought he was doing the Lord’s work, so I was actually considering sending him some money if he needed help! Well, he does not appear motivated by money. So, what is he motivated by? This spiritual war is raging and is nearing the climax.
Who can you trust? Trust Jesus. Read the bible for yourself. Do not rely on others to read it for you.
