According to NASA, the annular eclipse will be visible from only a small portion of the United States.
The eclipse might be visible from some parts of Oregon, California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. Other areas might see only a partial eclipse or no eclipse at all, depending on your location. I am in Arkansas, so I will probably miss the greatest part of God’s show.
I believe that the Holy Bible is true when it says God created the sun, moon, earth, and all the heavens above.
“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?”
No one else claims to be the creator of the universe, so it is an uncontested claim that God created the heavens above. This leads me to wonder: why did God set the moon, sun, and earth in motion to make eclipses? Is it a sign?
Amazingly, NASA states there was an eclipse in the year 33 AD. What is one of the most notable events that ever happened in our history? Answer: the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, to pay the price for my sins and your sins.
Something amazing, which I forgot most of my life: The reason why everyone around the world agrees that this year is 2012 is because it has been 2,012 years since Jesus was born. Our dating system revolves around the birth of Jesus. Jesus was real, Jesus is real, and the people respected him so highly that they began numbering the years of our history based on the birth year of Jesus Christ. Yet today, I look around me, and see the world blaspheming the name of Jesus Christ, as if his name were a curse word.
Pattern of 3’s
Consider this pattern of 3’s… Jesus was 30 when he began teaching the world how to be free from sin and how to get into Heaven. Jesus taught and performed miracles for 3 years. When he was 33, he was crucified, to receive the punishment of sinners, even though Jesus did no sin. In the year 33, according to NASA, there was an eclipse. If Jesus were the begotten Son of God, it seems fitting that a lunar eclipse would occur when God’s son was crucified, right? The Holy Bible and NASA agree on this point: After Jesus was crucified, there was darkness over the land for 3 hours.
“Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.”
That darkness must have been an eclipse! And NASA confirmed that the eclipse lasted 2 hours and 50 minutes. Round off to the nearest hour and you get: 3 hours of darkness. According to the book of Matthew, that darkness lasted from the sixth hour unto the ninth hour. 9 – 6 = 3. That’s 3 hours of darkness. NASA agrees with the Holy Bible by calculating such an eclipse in our history.
“And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;”
Not only was there darkness, but also an earthquake! God was giving the people a sign that Jesus told the truth!
“Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.”
They saw darkness, an earthquake, and much more evidence, and believed… and that is why this year is called 2012, because it has been 2,012 years since the birth of Jesus Christ.
And to continue the pattern of 3’s…. 3 days after the crucifixion, Jesus came back to life and emerged from the tomb. His remains, to this day, cannot be found. Why? Because Jesus’ body left Earth!
But Jesus will return. Jesus will return for vengeance and to save those that call on his name. But beware: many false Christs will come, too. Don’t believe everything you see on television or a computer screen. You must see Jesus with your own eyes. When he returns, you will see him in real life, with your own eyes! Will you be terrified or full of joy? Are you prepared? Will you be saved?
How to be saved: Pray to God from any location. Ask forgiveness for your sins. Ask Jesus into your heart to save you.
God set the heavens in motion. An annular eclipse is predicted by astronomers for May 20, 2012. Sometimes, an eclipse can be a sign, like the eclipse that occurred on the day Jesus was crucified in the year 33. Peace to everyone.
