I picked my first tomato of the year from my Arkansas garden: Big Beef, a hybrid sold by Bonnie at my local stores. The first tomato was a big one, weighing 20 ounces.

Last year, my garden produced only 3.9 pounds of tomatoes out of nearly 50 plants. Gardening is not producing as much food as it used to, but this tomato is an appreciated treat.

The weather is not as good as it used to be for growing food. The weather is breaking records.
